Perfectly Perfect - 6 months

Yesterday Cruz had his 6 month apt. Seriously...6 months?

What is even more wild is the fact that Dr. Wagner wrapped up the apt. by telling me we should be expecting Cruz to be crawling, pulling himself up and sitting very independently by his 9 month apt. I can't begin to imagine Cruz crawling!?

The poor guy got two shots today and one oral vaccine and while he most certainly turned red from silently sobbing for 8 seconds, he screamed for 15 seconds then calmed right down (he was EXTRA tired too as seen below). I have one tough little beauty that's for sure.

Cruz's 6 month stats:
Weight: 19lbs 9oz - 75th percentile
Height: 26 1/2 in - 50th percentile
Head Circumference: 45.25cm
Developing perfectly - hitting all milestones to date.
*For those of you who know about his head - Doc said she was thrilled with his progress and that he wouldn't be needing any more monitoring. Thank you God!
Yay right?!?

He is eating so good now - totally took him a second. We started oatmeal and apples at 5 months and he would not have it. He gagged at the tart taste of the apples and his "crazy tounge", as his Aunt likes to call it, was pushing out the oatmeal all over the place.

Two weeks later we tried again and he was ready, clearly! He eats about 1 1/2 tablespoons of oatmeal and a whole jar of either a veggie or fruit for dinner. Still not a fan of the apples but loves sweet potatoes, peaches, pears and bananas. Last night we did raspberries. LOVE.

Oh and this weekend, thanks to Grandma Leal, he got his first taste of half and half, iced tea, and pancake with syrup and was loving all it. He was practically trying to steal dad's french toast from his plate! I am feeling like we may have a great eater on our hands.

6 month loves: watching tv with dad, standing with help, sitting with help, eating his toes, bath time, stuffing anything and everything into his mouth, Liam and Bianca, playing with his cousins and smiling at his auntie.

He loves attention. The second you leave him alone on the floor, he screams. Pick him up? He is happy as a clam.

6 month dis-loves: Apples - still not a fan, grapes, being by himself, his binkie when he is NOT tired, and some strangers (totally at that stage).

Ohhhhh - last new fun trick...he has mastered a sippy cup!!!!!!!!
Full of prune juice cause ladies and gents, we do NOT have a regular boy.
I am talking 4 days....really really sad. Hoping this prune juice once a day helps things along. Poor really really cute boy.

Love my little guy.
Happy Tuesday!
